Small enough to care, but big enough to cope, JMJ are registered as an ISO 9001 company and boast an impressive 12,000 SQ FT factory that was purpose built in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

Laser Profiling

Our state of the art laser profiling machinery produces clear cut and accurate products in bulk. Laser profiling is our choice of technology for the production of components due to the high quality of edge finishes it produces, minimal set-up times and programming/control techniques that allow for smooth production from drawing to the finished part.

Sheet thickness we can cut with laser profiling:

- Stainless Steel Sheet (6mm)
- Mild Steel Sheet (12mm)
- Aluminium Sheet (5mm)

For laser profiling we use the laser beam, a multi-functional tool that completes everything ready for assembly. It has the ability to machine aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel in both thick and thin sheets. We have 2.7kw and 2.5kw laser profiling machines with a working capacity of up to 1250mm x 2500mm.

Combination Punch/Laser Cutting

Combination technology combines laser cutting with a punching head, it is able to produce high quality edge finishes on components and is economical to use. On top of punching and laser cutting, our combination machines are also able to countersink, form, tap, de-burr, stamp and roller bead without adding extra operations and handling to cover the processes.

Our combination punch/laser cutting machine is a 5kw machine with a max working capacity of 1250mm x 2500mm.

Robotic Bending

JMJ are always looking for the latest technology to improve our services. The fully automated Amada bending cell with pallet conveyor system is our latest addition, it greatly increases our bending capacity and enables us to provide a very quick turnaround with no extra costs.

Robotic bending is ideal for high and low volume production of a high mix of parts with high speed, stable and high precision bending, and minimum setting time.

Other Services

JMJ offer a wide range of services for the machining of sheet metal:

CNC Forming
For consistent and accurate bending we have a range of six axis 'Hi-Tec' down stroking machines. Our CNC forming machines are able to form lengths of up to 2500mm.

Section Forming
For section forming we use a DIMAKIN Ring Roller RH-703 which allows us to angle, section and flat bar, and form tube. The DIMAKIN Ring Roller is effortless to use and reduces production cycle times.

Sheet Rolling
JMJ have a Baileigh PR-409 sheet rolling machine that allows us to roll sheet metal of up to 1300mm wide and 4mm thick. The PR-409 is a single-pinch hydraulic plate roll with 3 driven rolls, it significantly cuts down on forming times, allowing us to get jobs completed quicker.

Quality

Our policy is to ensure that all clients receive a quality part, first time. We are ISO 9001 registered and use a range of standard and digital equipment to geometrically measure physical objects.

One of the machines we use to ensure quality is a Johansson Co-Ordinate measuring machine. We use this machine to ensure every product we produce meets strict requirements and is of the utmost precise measurements.
