CSS Worksafe's Ladder safety system has been independently tested and is relied upon by tens of thousands of workers across UK and Europe!
CSS Worksafe, established in 1992, has more than 20 yearsÂ’ experience in the height safety, fall protection and access equipment sector.
CSS Worksafe has extensive knowledge of current and compliant products and standards; and provides high quality equipment and training for working safely at heights.
The Work at Height Regulations (2005) requires that portable ladders are secured to prevent slipping. The latest version of HSE guidance booklet, INDG455, Safe use of ladders and stepladders, requires that where an individual canÂ’t maintain a handhold on a ladder, other than for a brief period, other measures will be needed to prevent a fall, or minimise the distance and consequences of one.
CSS Worksafe developed its ladder restraint and fall arrest safety system in the late 1990Â’s, to reduce the risks associated with working at height from portable ladders. The system has been independently tested and is relied upon daily by tens of thousands of workers across the UK and Europe who work from portable ladders.
This Ladder Safety System enables the ladder to be secured from the ground, before it is climbed ensuring safety from the ground upwards; enabling workers to use both hands for the task, without compromising their safety.
During access and egress, the user is protected from a fall from height by a running line and rope grab, minimising the consequences of a potential fall. In addition, the user is supported by a work positioning lanyard, allowing the user to safely use both hands for the task in hand. In the unlikely event of a fall, the fall is arrested quickly and the user is able to self-rescue.

This Safety System works with all EN 131 & BS 2037 Class 1 Ladders (aluminium, wooden or GRP) and takes only a few minutes to set up.

• SKR Rope Grab & Twistlock Karabiner
