Xylem's analytical brands SI Analytics and WTW will join leading pumping solutions provider Flygt, also a Xylem brand, at AD & Biogas 2016 to show their expertise within the field of Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas production.

Critical to the fermentation process of biogas plants is the titration method "FOS/TAC." This method is used to monitor the feedstock loading, which if not optimised correctly may cause a loss in plant efficiency or even give rise to whole process stalling, which can be a costly event!

SI Analytics will present its latest TitroLine® 5000 automatic titrator with integral FOS/TAC method that allows producers to monitor and control their plant in real-time so that fermentation is continuous and efficient.

Another method of optimising the performance of a biogas plant is by monitoring the production of biogas of feedstock samples with different mixtures and in different conditions.
WTW will present its biogas specific OxiTop® AN system for anaerobic processes which now includes the OxiTop® C/B heads designed to withstand hydrogen sulphide, a corrosive by-product of biogas production.

These OxiTop systems have the additional benefit of being able to monitor both biogas production and standard BOD.
