CASE STUDY: COASTAIR

THE CHALLENGE
Coastair is a leading neutral cargo brokerage based at Liege airport. They offer worldwide airlift solutions on scheduled service flights as well as full charter flights.

As part of the exciting growth of the company, Coastair has recently taken on significant warehouse space at Liege airport which will enable them to build-up cargo pallets and secure cargo.
To facilitate the cargo handling and vehicle loading / unloading operations Coastair needed to make significant investment in new materials handling equipment.

THE SOLUTION
Air Tech Innovations Ltd were appointed to provide new cargo handling equipment for Coastair’s Skyhouse warehouse at Liege Airport.

The equipment provided by Air Tech Innovations consisted of a 20ft Truck Dock Lift (c/w powered roller top deck), rising beam, power roller beds, slave pallets, pallet mover, PMC stillages and a purpose-built external canopy. In addition, Air Tech Innovations also supplied calibrated weighing and label printing equipment to provide weight capture and labelling of the cargo pallets.

As a manufacturer and system integrator, the Air Tech Innovations solution consisted of a full turnkey project including all MHE hardware, together with all required installation and integration to the customers supplied equipment and systems.

THE RESULTS
The project was fully project managed by Air Tech Innovations, which extends to on-site supervision and management of the installation through to completion and handover.
