Team Cartwright

Trufab Ltd News and PR from Trufab Ltd - Published 04 January 2021 We have some exciting news! We’ve recently set up a brand new team to capture over 50 years of knowledge from within the Coachbuilding industry.
Due to the current economic situation, S. Cartwright & Sons closed their doors for the final time earlier this year. So here at Trufab, weÂ’ve taken the opportunity to assist and build a brand new team, specifically benefiting from the knowledge and experience of Jordan Harrison, Scott Lofthouse and Andrew Keyes.

Not only do this team from Cartwrights have an unrivalled knowledge within the steel fabrication sector, but now they are also looking to connect and partner with every Coachbuilding and Trailer manufacturer in the UK.

With the infrastructure already in place at Trufab, the team is ready to become the number one steel fabrication supplier and take on any size project needed within the industry, with a key focus on providing the best bespoke service, tailoring to clientÂ’s needs.

About our new team
Jordan has a strong CNC background coupled with a wealth of experience in managing day-to-day fabrication production and providing technical information to help ease manufacturing on the shop floor. Jordan will also be working to targets and wider operational goals, problem-solving where needed.

Jordan Harrison said:

“Coming to TruFab, I am hoping to bring not only product knowledge from trailer manufacturing but also to help maintain production targets, managing workflow seamlessly through our workshop’s in an efficient and timely manner.”
Scott has over 19 years of experience. He started at S. Cartwright & Sons as an apprentice in 2001, learning all aspects of the Coachbuilding process.

After selecting the steel fabrication shop as the area of the business he wanted to specialise in, he naturally became responsible in every business area, from running the machines, CNC programming, costing, purchasing, and shop floor management.

Scott played an integral role in developing the department – going from the days of fax machines and carbon copy books (with the company being run from individuals heads) to introducing an MRP system and Lean Manufacturing processes.
