Accredited through ALLMI we now offer Brick Clamp, Hook and Clam Shell (also known as Bucket or Grab) training.Come to Wallace Training Centre at Park Royal (near Wembley)
Wallace Lorry Loader Vehicle has:
• Remote controls
• 3 stage boom (arm) with Powered Rotator at end of boom
• 20 ton metre capacity - great experience for builders merchant work
With available attachments:
• Brick Clamp
• Hook
• Bucket, clam-shell grab (for muck-away tipper type jobs)
Damage Free Lift (for car removals) also available.
The number of training days required depend on Operators existing or previous experience with Lorry Loaders.
Successful Hiab Operators receive:
ALLMI Certificate and photocard recognised across the UK.
ALLMI also issue CSCS Site Safety Qualifications to successful operators. Ideal for working at Builders Merchants or in Construction.

Up to 4 operators may attend training each day. They should have very similar or the same lorry loader experience.

To address the HGV Driver Shortages, DVSA have introduced a few changes to the way they conduct the driving test. From Monday 29th November 2021 the driving test has been split into two parts.

It's official Driver can now go from Car to Articulated Vehicle Licence straight away.
On the 15th November the law was changed and now it is no longer necessary to get a HGV licence in stages. Gone - is the requirement to go from a B licence to pass on LGV C (old HGV 2) before going for trailer training. Now drivers can go straight into LGV CE (old HGV Class 1) from their car licence.

New HGV/LGV Training Vehicles
In April 2014 the law changed. Drivers with a Manual Car Licence can now pass LGV driving test using an Automatic Lorry to get a Manual LGV/HGV licence.
