Founded in 1992, Calman Technology have a wealth of experience within the
industry, we have been producing and distributing label products, membrane
keypads and graphic overlays throughout the UK and across Europe.

Central to everything we do at Calman Technology is quality, we have held ISO
9001 accreditation for over 25 years and completed our Transition
Re-Certification in July 2018.
Even with the manufacture of a straightforward and simple 2 colour label, we
undergo 5 or 6 inspection operations. Further inspection operations are
undertaken when manufacturing graphic overlays due to the more complex nature of
the product, and with membrane keypad manufacture the bar is raised even higher,
with all finished parts being 100% functionality tested before dispatch.

When it comes to membrane keypads the design options are endless! We often think
we have produced every imaginable membrane keypad that could be thought up...
then a client comes along with brand new ideas and requirements.
From large, feature rich membrane keyboard with complex assemblies to small,
simple non-tactile membrane switch panels, Calman Technology can provide the
perfect solution.
Membrane keypads can have a range of switch types:
- Non-tactile Keys or Buttons
- Metal Dome Tactile Keys or Buttons
- Polydome Tactile Keys or Buttons
| Graphic Overlays |
Graphic overlays can be a simple self-adhesive cover for mouldings or
metal-work, or they can be more complex and detailed with features like tinted /
clear windows for displays, combined with embossing for concealed PCB or
mechanical based switches, the potential is limitless. If you would like to add
branding to the graphic overlay we can incorporate clear pockets which allow for
branding inserts or variable data inserts.
Calman Technology can reproduce any effect that is achievable in keypad graphics
in overlays as well. Digital printing allows for lots of information to be
printed in a range of colours without the extra cost that would come with screen
printing.

When creating your label there are a wide range of options available in
materials and adhesives, we can produce anything from large intricately shaped
labels with multiple colours and various surface finishes, to simple 2 colour
labels or decals.
Our labels are designed to be durable, lasting the host products full life span.
We use industrial grade adhesive that is perfectly suited to your material of
choice. Complex shapes are possible thanks to CNC cutting. We can add
photographic images through digital printing and colour match them to graphic
overlays or membrane keypads.

Printing of insulative, resistive and conductive inks provides an efficient and
clean means of creating electronic functionality in a flexible package. We can
combine subtractive and additive processes to meet a wide range of application
requirements in printed electronics. Thanks to our process knowledge and
experience we can offer bespoke solutions to match a clients unique design
requirements.
