Established in 1994, our engineering services range from CAD support, through to conventional and CNC machining. Typical manufacturing capabilities include everything from multiple quantities of milled & turned parts through to one off's.

Services

Our purpose built machine shop currently houses 22 CNC machine tools offering 9, 4 and 3 axis with live tooling facilities. We are well equipped to manufacture components of any complexity to our clients individual requirements

CNC Milling
Crabb Engineering are fully equipped with 11 vertical machining centres and 2 mill turn machines. Our milling section consists of modern machinery from leading brands like XYZ, Doosan and Haas. Working from a range of materials, we have the capabilities to produce complex precision components to the highest quality.

CNC Turning
For CNC Turning we have 9 state-of-the-art machines from Daewoo, Hitachi-Seiki, Akebono, Romi and XYZ, these machines give as us ability to support almost all turning requirements up to 65mm bar, 230mm chucking and 700mm between centres ranges. Both our milling and turning sections are supported by our stand-alone engineering department.

Project Management
If outsource elements like surface treatment, heat treatment and fabrication are required for your part, Crabb Engineering will manage this for you thanks to our in-house ERP system that utilises our approved suppliers.

Product Assembly
We have time served personnel and all of the necessary tooling in a stand-alone assembly area to assemble products to your requirements, and supply any certificates of conformity that are required.

Inspection
Another stand alone department is our inspection area with fully calibrated facilities for customer parts and internal inspection. With our CNC Mitutoyo CMM and manual machines, we are able to provide clients with full inspection services that includes the supply of 3D printed reports.

Reverse Engineering
With sophisticated measuring equipment And four seats of Solid Works we can take your samples to draw and manufacture. Reverse engineering has the potential to reduce lead times, or reduce costs on vital parts.

Production Support
Our wealth of expertise in production lines can be used to design out high wear rate or problematic parts and speed up your in house processes.
