Greenvale Produce Ltd (formerly Dalgety Produce) of March in Cambridgeshire recently invested in four DFT2600 Air Cleaner units for their potato grading plant. These were strategically positioned over the loading and grading areas and with a single, Greenvale AP control panel, provided an immediate and dramatic effect in reducing the airborne factory dust. Peter Young of Greenvale Produce said that: "By installing Defuma Electrostatic filters we have effectively solved the dust problem in our grading station, and the improvement in air quality in this area has been fully appreciated by all the staff”.

Perkin-Elmer. is a global technology leader providing products and services to customers in health sciences and other advanced technology markets. Our Cambridge production centre was tasked with transforming all assembly areas into lean cells. Part of this Perkin Elmer challenge involved buffing operations that; though delicate, generates high levels of dust. Until this point these processes had to remain isolated in a separate room to prevent contamination. Defuma were tasked with solving our problem. James Hillyard and Simon Carr ofPerkin Elmer stated "Defuma went the extra mile until a solution was found, by sending engineers out several times until the performance met our requirements. Timsons Limited based in Northants manufacture printing presses for the production of books. Our machines are used worldwide. In 2002 we identified an opportunity to improve the appearance of our machines and reduce the manufacture time. A new finishing section was established that required extraction to protect the workforce. Defuma were invited to propose a system. Their solution was implemented in short time and met the specification completely. Defuma were asked to lower the noise levels and fitted a silencer overnight. A very satisfactory response. Today, the working environment is still perfectly satisfactory and the Defuma equipment has helped to solve a potentially difficult situation.
