NASS was established in 1928 and was originally
known as The National Association of Iron & Steel Stockholders. It is the only
association that covers the whole of the steel stockholding sector in the UK,
with our aim being to promote and defend the interests of steel distributors
throughout the country.
When visiting our site you will find a wealth of
information that is easily accessible and searchable. We produce a range of
publications that cover both health & safety and general topics, all of which
can either be ordered directly or downloaded from our website and also featured
is an event booking facility and information about our training courses, which
can also be booked directly online.
The NASS
website incorporates a powerful online search facility which gives direct access
to all of our members information pages (amounting to hundreds of steel
products). If you wish to source a particular product, you can use our search
facility to obtain information about members, their products and the services
they offer.
NASS members are a vital link in the
supply-chain, providing steel to the UK manufacturing sector. Members handle
some 8 million tonnes of steel per year, which is principally used in the
engineering, automotive and construction industries.
