Plastic Coatings offers a range of high quality processes covering a whole host of applications including:

Powder Coating
For many years Plastic Coatings have been providing high quality powder coating solutions and now has the very latest sate of the art equipment in coating booths and spray guns.

PTFE Coating
Also known as Teflon, Xylan, Fluoroplastic and Fluorocarbon, PTFE Coating is applied where a non-stick, dry lubricating action is required.

Metal Electrophoretic Painting
Otherwise known as e-coat, Electropaint and EP paint this process has now become one of the most cost effective processes for anti-corrosion applications on metal.

Black E-Coating
Black E-coating is predominantly used in the automotive market for passenger and bonnet compartment components. A black paint finish is achieved with a uniform thickness from 30 microns down to 15 microns. Various industries opt for black e-coating as a finish where performance is more important than aesthetics, or as an undercoat.

Thermoplastic Dip Coating
This process is one of the oldest methods around used to plastic coat a product. Plastic Coatings Ltd has been providing such services since 1952.

Electrostatically Sprayed Thermoplastics
This is one of our specialities and uses a similar process to powder coating only the plastic is melted rather than cured.

Bonded Lubricant Coating
Within the high performance section of Plastic Coatings facility we carry out a Bonding Lubricant coating process which is mainly used in applications where the lubrication of surfaces for heavier and slow moving parts is required.

Plastisol Coating
The process of PVC Plastisols is totally unique to Plastic Coatings Ltd and is used to coat metalwork with a `rubbery` type coating from 1.5mm to 5mm thick.

Specialist Coating

Shot Peening
In certain industries such as the spring and gear manufacturing sectors shot peening is used to enhance the products longevity. It also increases its corrosion fatigue resistance, cracking resistance, surface hardness and adhesion where required.

Small Components
Plastic Coatings also have a dedicated small components coating section where we have full and part coating capabilities for some of the smaller components such as springs, clips and pressings etc.

Large Part Coatings Facility
Using our brand new, bespoke Large Parts Coating facilities, Plastic Coatings Ltd can handle items up to and over 6m long. Our new box oven measures 6m long x 3m high x 4m wide, we have a complimentary wet coating facility that can handle even longer items. These new processes are supported by pre-treatment facilities that allow us to treat most items appropriately for their intended use without needing to involve a sub-contractor. Weight of the item to be coated is generally not a problem as we have an array of lifting equipment available to us on site at PCL, if our equipment is not suitable we can hire plant locally and at fairly short notice to support individual projects.
