Our phone system was approaching 10 years old and, although it had given good service, it lacked the features offered by an internet telephony solution. Our options were quite clear, hosted or on-prem telephony. There were a number of reasons why hosted didn’t quite fit our requirements, we had existing analogue devices we wanted to keep, enhanced & flexible call handling, voice quality & of course cost. Furthermore, a hosted solution required committing to a minimum of three years & so presented a risk if the solution didn’t work. We approached our trusted & longstanding IT support company, P&L, who put a strong case forward for an on-prem solution. P&L managed the project from start to finish, liaising with third party service providers for telephone line, broadband & voice services. The changeover to the new service was as seamless as could be expected, with no disruption to ourselves or our customers. We use P&L for all our IT requirements & have no hesitation recommending them.
