Southern Self Drive has been
operating for over 50 years to provide the South of England with a wide variety
of vehicles on a short term or long term basis. Based in Portsmouth & Fareham,
we also offer delivery and collection for our customers.
Our fleet boasts a large variety of Cars, Vans, People Carriers and Minibuses
4X4s. We also have a Specialist Vehicle Range, including Chapter 8 vehicles.
We cover the whole of the south east of England including Hampshire,
Southampton, Portsmouth, Reading, London, Fareham, Guildford, Oxford, Maidstone,
Surrey, Chelmsford, West and East Sussex.

Specialist Vehicle Hire
Our Chapter 8 range includes
Vans, 4X4s, Tippers, Dropsides, with or without a rear-mounted Hiab, Crewvans
and Welfare Vans.
Aside from our Chapter 8 vehicles, we also have Car Transporters available to
hire.
4x4 Rental
SSD Specialist Vehicle
Hire have a range of 4x4 vehicles to hire for luxury, prestige or rugged use.
Our range includes the refined Isuza Denver Max, the rugged Ford Ranger or the
top of the range luxurious 7 seater Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE.
Minibus Hire
We offer a large fleet of modern minibuses including 9, 14, 15 and 17 seater
minibuses, all of which are available for long and short term hire.

We have rented cars from SSD since about 1990 when the office was in West street Havant. a lovely brand new Granada Ghia X once, which we took to Cornwall for a week (showing my age lol ) and various other cars, and some great memories of holidays and trips away when our two boys were small. The staff are very pleasant, friendly and helpful.
