These are probably the 2nd most common types of forklift truck and are used for
low to high level racking within large distribution centres.

RTITB Forklift Truck Training |
Training is available at our own RTITB accredited premises or we can deliver
training at your site.
Novice Training:
Designed for complete beginners or people with very limited forklift experience.
Novice training will teach you every aspect of driving a forklift, this includes
how to check, drive and maintain the truck. Our training will also teach you all
the legal responsibilities and requirements that forklift truck operators should
be aware of.
Refresher Training:
For experienced operators we offer 1 day refresher training. A refresher course
can take anywhere from between 4.5hrs to a full day and will allow the operator
to have their current driving ability and knowledge examined, assessed and
re-credited by an RTITB qualified instructor.
Conversion Training:
For operators that wish to upskill to another type of forklift truck or require
a different certification for their current machine type. Conversion training
typically lasts around 1 to 2 days.
Back to Back Novice / Conversion Training:
Similar to conversion training but for people who wish to learn to drive a
counterbalance forklift truck and a reach truck all within 1 week. Due to the
similarities between the two trucks this course consists of 3-4 days novice
training on the reach truck and then 1-2 days of conversion training on the
